YOGA ANATOMY
100 HOURS ADVANCED TEACHER TRAINING
Becoming a Master in Yogic Anatomy
As a yoga teacher, your goal is to provide your students with the tools they need to lead a healthy and fulfilling life through the practice of yoga. To do this, it is essential to have a deep understanding of yogic anatomy. Having this knowledge will not only improve your ability to correct your students’ posture, but it will also set you apart from other yoga teachers in the industry.
Yogic anatomy is the study of the physical and energetic anatomy of the body, specifically as it relates to the practice of yoga. This includes an understanding of the muscles, bones, and connective tissues, as well as the flow of energy through the body’s channels and the effects that yoga postures have on the body’s systems.
Knowing yogic anatomy is essential for any yoga teacher, as it provides the foundation for creating safe and effective yoga practices for students of all levels. With a deep understanding of the body, you can help your students avoid injury, improve their posture, and experience the full benefits of their yoga practice.
Smart Adjustments: Finding Your Perfect Posture
Asana clinic is a unique approach to learning anatomy in action. Rather than simply correcting students’ posture, this approach empowers them to find their own perfect posture. This is because every human being is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution to good posture.
At an asana clinic, students will learn how to adjust their posture in a way that is tailored to their individual needs. This involves paying close attention to their body and making smart adjustments that help to improve their alignment and prevent injury.
what will learn
- Muscles: You will learn about the major muscles in the body and how they work. This includes understanding how the muscles receive messages from the nervous system and how intention affects movement. Through asana practice, you will become more aware of the interplay between muscles, nerves, and intention and be able to guide students in finding their perfect posture.
- Bones:You will learn about the major bones in the body and how they affect asana practice. This includes understanding how certain shapes and sizes of bones can influence posture and how to adapt asanas to promote healthy postures and movements.
- Joints: You will learn about the major joints in the body and their mobility and limitations. This includes understanding the range and locks of joints and how to design safe yoga practices for people of all ages.
- Spines: You will learn about the spine and its role in yoga postures for better health. This includes understanding how to improve spinal health through yoga and how to use the wisdom of yoga postures to reach your potential.
- Flexibility: You will learn about the basics of alignment and how to adapt asanas to each practitioner’s unique flexibility and structure. You will also learn about the flow of energy and information within the body and how to use the wisdom of yoga postures to tap into your inner engineering and reach your full potential.
- Emotions: Emotions can have a significant impact on yoga postures. Emotional stress or tension can cause physical tension in the body, making it difficult to perform yoga poses with ease and comfort. On the other hand, practicing yoga can help to reduce stress and promote emotional balance, leading to improved physical posture and ease in performing yoga poses. Additionally, the focus and breathing techniques used in yoga can help to calm the mind and release pent up emotions, allowing for a deeper connection with the body and a more fulfilling yoga practice.
