History of Yoga Nidra
Explore the origins of Yoga Nidra, rooted in ancient tantric and yogic traditions, and understand how this guided meditation evolved into a powerful modern practice for deep rest and awareness.

Yoga Nidra course trains you to guide others in Yoga Nidra, facilitating your transformation. Yoga Nidra is often misunderstood as merely a form of relaxation. However, this is hardly a fraction of its vast potential.
Together, we will examine how Yoga Nidra can affect your brain and body and the benefits you can get from this profound practice. With a combination of science/research, the ancient wisdom of Yoga, and our experience, we will help you understand how Yoga Nidra can impact:
Yoga Nidra’s ultimate purpose is to take you deep into a state where you are fully unified with your inner being. In this process, the conscious mind withdraws itself so that the subconscious and mind come to the forefront and further discover the unconscious mind. This is where the real opportunity lies in Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra resides in the higher stages of Raja Yoga and reaching there can be very difficult through other practices.
Yoga Nidra is a technique developed by Swami Satyananda of the Bihar School of Yoga. It is derived from an old Tantric technique of Nyasa. Later, Swami Niranjanananda. Yoga Nidra Training is further developed by the Yogalife team with experience and understanding of modern times.
